Cauldron Ferm is building a precision fermentation facility in Mackay, supported by the Queensland Government’s Industry Partnership Program (IPP).

2. Award for Mackay Cytogeneticist’s sugarcane research

Mackay cytogeneticist Dr Nathalie Piperidis won the 2024 Women in Technology Award for Excellence in Industry Leadership for her work in cracking the genetic code of the Cultivar R570 sugarcane.

The service will be provided by Wellways in partnership with the Northern Queensland Primary Health Network (NQPHN) and Mackay Hospital and Health Services (HHSs).
